Terms and Conditions:

Please read our terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions include i.e. our cancellation and refund policy. By booking a tour with us you confirm you agree to these terms and conditions.

General conditions:

Bookings are confirmed when MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. has received the full payment for the booking. When bookings are confirmed we send you a confirmation e-mail and then a binding contract is in place.

All cancellations must come to MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. in written form, via email, to the address kiddisteinn@gmail.com.

All tours are prepaid in full. All rates are quoted and presented in Icelandic Krona (ISK), the prices are per tour and include VAT and all other taxes. We reserve the right to increase prices in the event of currency fluctuations, taxes or other cost increases out of our control. Tickets purchased prior to the increase will not be affected by the increase. Any changes may incur change fees. To amend a booking, please send us a request in writing at kiddisteinn@gmail.com. Guests are obligated to follow tour operator’s directions regarding safety and regulations in line with Icelandic law and regulations.

By participating on our trips, you grant MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. right to use any film or photographic record of your trip for promotional and/or commercial purposes.

With your safety in mind, MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. reserves the right to cancel a tour or change the itinerary due to weather conditions or any other factors beyond our control. Guests are obligated to follow our guides’ directions regarding safety and regulations in line with Icelandic law and regulations. MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. does not assume any responsibility for accidents caused by the reckless behavior of customers, or failure to notify of any unusual or medical needs.

Remember to take out travel insurance before your journey. Residents of the EU/EEA countries should bring their European Health Insurance Card (E-111 form) in case of illness and need for medical care.

Cancellation- & refund policy:

All cancellations must come to MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. in written form, via email, to the address kiddisteinn@gmail.com.

Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the tour start date is at least 15 days away.
50% refund if cancelled 7 days or more before start date.
25% refund if cancelled 14–7 days before start date.
No refund if cancelled less than 7 days prior to departure or no-show at pickup.

All personal information will be strictly confidential and will not be given or sold to a third party.

Clothing and Footwear:

Passengers are responsible themselves for bringing suitable clothing for the trip (e.g. according to weather)

Weather condition in Iceland can change rapidly therefore please ensure that your clothing and footwear is appropriate for the weather and conditions of the tour. MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. take no responsibility for passengers whose clothing or footwear is not appropriate for the weather or conditions and reserve the right to deny the participation of a passenger whose clothing or footwear poses a safety concern.

Cancellations and Changes:

We reserve the right to alter the itinerary and locations, have a longer or shorter journey time or cancel the tour due to weather, road conditions, safety reasons, actions of other agencies/persons/companies, or other unforeseen circumstances. We reserve the right to change the services, itineraries and prices described in our leaflets or website.

We would not change the price of a tour if a booking has been confirmed. We will inform you of the changes as soon as possible. It is the responsibility of the client to provide valid contact details.

If the tour is cancelled by MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. a full refund will be issued to the client.

Language:

Our guides will communicate with passengers in English during the tour. By booking the tour with us you confirm you have a sufficient understanding of the English language to be able to understand and follow instructions from the guide. If you do not have a sufficient understanding of the English Language, you must provide a qualified interpreter and take full responsibility for ensuring the guide's instructions are understood and followed. Passengers must inform us if they wish to bring an interpreter in advance of the tour for further information.

Liability and Passengers responsibility:

We advise all passengers to have their own travel insurance. MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. cannot be held responsible for any mishap occurring to a passenger and cannot take any responsibility for personal items or luggage belonging to passengers.

MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. cannot be held responsible for any mishap, damage, loss, accident, injury, sickness, itinerary change, cancellation, incurred cost, default, delay or other factors that are due to weather, flight cancellations, natural disasters, strikes, actions of other agencies/persons/companies (e.g., airlines, restaurants, police), unforeseen circumstances or that are caused by factors outside MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. control, including force majeure events.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the tour. The adult must take responsibility for them. Parents and/or legal guardians must take full responsibility for the behavior of and/or damages caused by children under 18 years old.

Jurisdiction:

By purchasing a tour, you agree to these terms and conditions and confirm that you understand their implications, accept responsibility for your participation in your trip and you acknowledge that we have taken all reasonable steps to safeguard our liability in this respect. This agreement is made subject to and must be interpreted and enforced according to Icelandic law.

Disputes can be taken to the Complaints Committee of Services and liquidity Purchases at the Icelandic consumer agency

In case of any legal dispute, a case should be run at the District Court of South Iceland (Héraðsdómur Suðurlands)

MyPrivateTours / S19 ehf. reserve the right to change and update these terms and conditions at any time and will do this by updating our terms and conditions online.
